Level 5 Controlling Lifting Operations – Planning Lifts
This Level 5 NVQ qualification is aimed at candidates working in the construction industry that are responsible for the planning of the lifting of suspended loads and will allow candidates to demonstrate their competence as an appointed person.
This NVQ is suitable for those looking to upgrade their NPORS or CPCS Appointed Person card from red to blue.

Assessment Methods
Evidence for your NVQ will be gathered by a qualified assessor through a combination of assessment methods (on-site visits, observations, knowledge questions and evidence gathering). You will work with your assessor to build an NVQ portfolio that will demonstrate competence.
Next Steps
On completion of your NVQ qualification and the Managers Health, Safety and Environment Test (completed within the last 2 years), you will be able to apply to upgrade your CPCS/NPORS Red card to Blue.
