
Overview
This course is aimed at candidates that require the knowledge to attain their CSCS Green Labourer’s card.
The Safety Awareness Course has been mapped as a full equivalent to the QCF Level 1 Award Health and Safety in a Construction Environment. This means that those who have achieved the NPORS Site Safety Awareness Course can apply for the CSCS Green Labourer’s Card once they have also passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Operatives Test.
Course Content
Candidates will be able to:
- Understand the industry and the dangers of working in the industry
- Understand the responsibilities of the employer, employee and those that are self-employed
- Understand emergency procedures such as first aid and fire, health risks and welfare, working at height and PPE
- Understand regulations relating to hazardous substances, waste protection and control, manual handling, electrical safety and hand tools and equipment
Entry Requirements
Good understanding of written and spoken English.
Delegates under the age of 18 must provide written consent from a parent or guardian.

With an Operatives Health, Safety and Environment Test, you will be eligible for a CSCS Green Labourer Card.
