The wood occupations NVQ level 2 qualification structure below specifies the combination of units that need to be achieved for the individual to be awarded the qualification. The qualification is aimed at Site Carpenters currently applying their trade in the construction industry.

Blue CSCS Card

On completion of your NVQ qualification, along with passing the relevant CITB HS&E test (within the last 2 years), you will be able to apply for the blue CSCS skilled worker card.

The structure of this qualification is built up using mandatory units and optional units, all mandatory units and one optional unit if applicable must be achieved to attain the full credit value of this qualification. There are six different pathways.

Evidence Required

Evidence will be gained using a method of assessments. The assessor will carry out site visits to aid with gaining evidence around the national occupational standards. Knowledge based sessions will take place as well as professional discussions and direct observations. Product evidence will also be used and assessed against the national occupational standards.
