Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS)
The Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) has helped to set industry standards for over 30 years to prove that people have the skills and knowledge to do their job competently onsite.
Launched in 2003, CPCS has over 180 approved test centres supporting lifelong learning and maintaining occupational competency.
CPCS Red Trained Operator Card
Candidates are issued with the Red Trained Operator Card on completion of the CPCS Theory and Practical Tests and must hold the relevant Health, Safety and Environment Test (completed within 2 years of the test date).
CPCS Blue Competent Operator Card
Candidates are issued with the Blue Competent Operator Card on completion of the relevant NVQ and must hold the relevant Health, Safety and Environment Test (completed within the last 2 years).
To renew your CPCS Blue Card, you will need to complete your logbook, pass the relevant Health, Safety and Environment Test & Renewal Tests (within the last 2 years) and hold an NVQ qualification.
