Course Overview

The CITB SMSTS Refresher course is designed for delegates who have previously passed the full 5-day course/refresher course and can provide proof of attendance.

It will bring delegates existing health and safety knowledge up to date and ensure an understanding of responsibilities and accountability for health and safety.

Entry Requirements

• Learners must:.
• Have a good understanding of spoken and written English.
• Hold a valid current SMSTS certificate and be able to provide proof.

• CDM Regulations.
• Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Recent changes in accepted working practices.
• Behavioural Safety.
• Management of Occupational Health.
• Electricity.
• Excavations.
• Working at height.
• Scaffolding.
• Demolition.
• Confined Spaces.

Assessment

Two (2) Days – Classroom-based and Online Options available

Learners must attend both days (15 hours) and pass the end of course assessment to be eligible for certification.

Certification

Successful candidates will be issued with an CITB Site Management Safety Training

Scheme certificate (valid for 5 years).
