Accredited Emergency First Aid Training for the Workplace
Our Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) Course provides learners with the essential skills and knowledge required to respond effectively to workplace emergencies. This practical one-day training programme is ideal for individuals who have been appointed as emergency first aiders or work in low-risk environments where a qualified first aider is required.
Successful candidates will receive an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate, valid for three years.

Emergency First Aid at Work vs First Aid at Work
The Emergency First Aid at Work course is ideal for lower-risk workplaces and provides a foundation in emergency first aid skills.
For organisations requiring more comprehensive first aid coverage, the 3-Day First Aid at Work (FAW) Course offers advanced training covering a wider range of injuries, illnesses and workplace emergencies.
What You Will Learn
By the end of the course, learners will be able to respond quickly and effectively to a range of workplace emergencies.
Course Content Includes:
- Understanding the role of an emergency first aider
- Assessing emergency situations safely
- Managing an unconscious casualty
- Performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Recovery position techniques
- Managing choking incidents
- Controlling bleeding and treating minor wounds
- Recognising and managing shock
- Responding to seizures
- Dealing with minor injuries and illnesses
- Understanding emergency procedures and reporting requirements
Assessment
Assessment is conducted throughout the day through practical exercises, instructor observation and learner participation.
To achieve certification, learners must:
- Attend the full course
- Demonstrate practical first aid competence
- Successfully complete the required assessment activities
Certification
Upon successful completion, learners will receive an Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) Certificate valid for three years.
This qualification demonstrates that the learner has received recognised emergency first aid training and can provide immediate assistance during workplace incidents.
