Course Overview

The aim of this qualification is to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence demonstrated by an individual in the workplace. Completion of one of the pathways provides the opportunity for individuals to demonstrate their competence in specialist concrete occupations. The awarding organisation for this qualification is ProQual AB. This qualification is regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) and the Council for the Curriculum Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) Regulation.

Who Is This NVQ For?

This qualification is suitable for experienced workers who are already carrying out the relevant role in the workplace and need formal recognition of their competence.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. Centres should carry out an initial assessment of candidate skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment.

Qualification Structure

Candidates must complete all of the Mandatory units plus the Mandatory/Optional unit requirements from one of the pathways.

Assessment

Candidates must demonstrate the level of knowledge described in the unit. Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification. Each candidate is required to produce evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.

Certification

This Level 2 NVQ will allow learners to demonstrate their competence in specialist concrete operations.

On completion of the NVQ and a CITB Operatives Health, Safety & Environment Test (minimum requirement) you will be able to apply for a CSCS Blue Skilled Worker CSCS Card.
