The aim of the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Construction and Civil Engineering Operations (Construction) qualification aims to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence demonstrated by an individual in the workplace. It provides the opportunity for individuals who specialise in general building operations to demonstrate their competence. It provides a nationally recognised qualification for individuals working in this sector. There are 8 pathways available: The awarding body for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).

Who Is This NVQ For?
This qualification is suitable for experienced workers who are already carrying out the relevant role in the workplace and need formal recognition of their competence.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. Centres should carry out an initial assessment of candidate skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment.

Assessment
This suite of qualifications are competence-based, candidates must demonstrate the level of competence described in the units. Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s skill, knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification. The qualifications must be assessed in line with the Construction Skills Assessment Strategy and must be internally assessed by an appropriately experienced and qualified assessor.

Certification

Card Information
The Level 2 NVQ in Construction Operations will allow learners to demonstrate competence within general building operations.
On completion of the NVQ and a CITB Operatives Health, Safety & Environment Test (minimum requirement) you will be able to apply for a CSCS Blue Skilled Worker CSCS Card.
