Course Overview

The aim of this qualification is to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence of individuals who specialise in a wood-based occupation in the construction industry. The awarding organisation for this qualification is ProQual AB. This qualification is regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) and the Council for the Curriculum Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) Regulation. The Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) includes those qualifications regulated by Ofqual and CCEA Regulation.

Who Is This NVQ For?

Assessment

Candidates must demonstrate the level of knowledge described in the units. Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification. Each candidate is required to produce evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.

The Level 2 NVQ in Wood Occupations recognises the competence of learners who specialise in a wood-based occupation in the construction industry.

On completion of the NVQ and a CITB Operatives Health, Safety & Environment Test (minimum requirement) you will be able to apply for a CSCS Blue Skilled Worker CSCS Card.
