Course Overview

The Temporary Works Co-ordinator Training Course (TWCTC) is designed to assist those on site who have responsibility for managing all forms of temporary works.

The Temporary Works Co-ordinator course has been designed to give confidence to senior management, and to ensure that those who engage contractors have an assessed standard of knowledge.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, however learners are expected to have a working knowledge of:.
Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007.
Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) 2015.
Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.
Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998.
The Personal Protective Equipment Regulations 1992.
The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992.
The Work at Height Regulations 2005.
Learners who have completed courses such as SSSTS or SMSTS will have gained the knowledge to meet these expectations. However, this is not a mandatory pre- requisite.

Assessment

Two (2) Days – Classroom-based and Online Options available

Learners must attend both days (15 hours) and pass the end of course assessment to be eligible for certification.

Certification

Successful candidates will be issued with an CITB Temporary Works Co-ordinator certificate (valid for 5 years).
